Apparently, we are only allowed to use "old" Pokemon online which came over from X/Y or ORAS via Bank - not the ones bred in Sun/Moon using them.

tl;dr: Bank Mon without pentagon = banned online - don't waste your time breeding in Sun/Moon.

Now go and buy Pokemon Bank, so Nintendo can make some dirty money!

I have a Gen 3 Blastoise. I send him to Platinum, and then to White 2, and then to X. He has no pentagon obviously. I now send him from X to Sun via Pokebank. I breed him with a ditto.

Are you saying the Squirtle he fathers are all banned online because HE has no Pentagon?

no, you can still use anything bred in gen 6 or 7, you can still use your gen 5 or older mons in casual battles though, just not in ranked

I have a rotom I bred in oras as well, Pentagon + legit and all,

Nah, you don't need to go through the whole CFW install to export/import saves. Just being able to get in the Homebrew Launcher is enough and all that takes is a few files on your SD card - nothing is installed.

I wouldn't. There is NO pattern to what mons of mine lost their HA vs the ones that kept them. And NONE were injected. Lost about 10 HA mons, about 25 are still HA.

I've just tested it.

Bank no pentagon = banned from ranked and VGC, OK in free battles
Bank + pentagon = banned from VGC, ok in ranked and free battles

I wish there was a way to remove my Game Sync. I'm tired of syncing every time that I go online when I'm not even playing ranked matches.

Bank + Clover worked for Rated Battle. I'm sure it does in Frees too.

That makes no sense, if that were the case they should've banned pokemon with the pentagon, not without it. Most of the tutor moves aren't Egg Moves, so banning the pentagon would've get rid of them

You can transport any legal pokemon you want, but you can only use alolan pokemon/forms/moves for ranked battles?
