>>31534828A return to the 8 Gym format with particular emphasis on the Black/White variety where the new mons are the only ones available until after the E4, after which I'd like to see all pokemon be available in one way or another across the two versions.
If Gamefreak insists on going further and further with the story, it'd be nice to give players more autonomy. Let the player occasionally make different choices and impact the story in some way rather than being little duckies pulled along on a string.
As far as a thing to set the next region apart from the others, I'd like to see the use of cooking and meals to interact with your pokemon. For example, you could EV train by gathering the proper ingredients, doing a little minigame, and then watching your pokemon enjoy the meal. Get rare ingredients, do really well in the minigame, and your pokemon will get bigger benefits out of it. Ideally, with late game ingredients and some skill, you should be able to fully EV train/max happiness/Hypertrain/etc. in a few minutes. (To balance, just keep good ingredients unavailable until late/post game, and limit the daily uses for a given mon via hunger).
And for the love of god, please, fucking please, give us difficulty options right off the bat.
