UU is ran differently than the other tiers. UU ban things if they might be a problem, then retest them later. OU (and other tiers) test things to see if they're a problem, and ban them if need fit.

poison heal is there to circumvent stall, dummy. It can't get statused or worn down, so it sets up and fucks stall. A defensive spread is there for when your opponent sends in an attacker or hits your with that one random coverage move you didn't see comming.

Well, yeah, sure, but by that logic anything remotely bulky is stall, since everything can learn rest and toxic.

Just because it can, doesn't mean it has to. The most optimal set was a stallbreaker set, so that's the roll it goes for most of the time.

Stallbreaker
A Pokemon that immediately threatens stall not for breaking down walls, rather for preventing the Pokemon commonly found on those teams from executing their standard strategies and thus hindering or entirely shutting down the team's defensive core.
Gliscor has all of the necessary tools to be an effective stallbreaker, in particular Taunt, Roost, high Speed, select immunities, and an excellent STAB type.

problem with staraptor is that there are plenty of other OU mons that fill its niche so BL is worse for it than for the others which do have a niche, its just not popular enough to be directly OU

The serperior ban, the dragon's bans, and thundurus' ban all feel like they could've been avoided had weavile not been banned.

They keep banning the counters to newly brought in pokes, expecting these to somehow not rape the meta

it seems to me that the UU council is banning too aggressively, so instead of allowing the meta to reach an equilibrium and banning what's clearly broken, they're banning things that they think are too strong for UU without acknowledging that the level of mons that are in UU is higher than last gen because of power creep.

it would be like OU banning pheremosa within three days of the tier being made because they didn't think the meta could handle it, even though now that the meta is settled down a bit pheremosa is no longer seen as being broken

They would if there were powercreeped walls in UU to ensure balance wouldn't get fucked by all these attackers, the only defensive pokemon in BL is Megabro. Mega Aggron and Quagsire can only do so much.
