Having no speed would have been fine if it were bulkier, but it's kind of on that weird middle ground between frail and reasonably bulky. It hurts. It really needed higher stats (as in, higher BST to allocate) considering it takes way more work to get than Gyarados.

It's not THAT bad. 85/80/80 defenses is something every other mixed offense mon wishes for and with it's 3 resistances, 1 immunity and no weaknesses, it can switch in fairly easily. Speed can be remedied with paralysis (T-Wave on the switch) or gimmick Trick Room. It has an amazing movepool on both sides as well.

Special:
T-bolt
Flamethrower
Grass Knot
Flash Cannon
Volt Switch

Physical
Crunch
U-Turn
Drain Punch
Power-Up Punch
Acrobatics
Wild Charge

Boosting Moves
Coil
Hone Claws

It can also set up or pass screens. It's not OU tier by any means, but it definitely is slept on imo.

Except those mons also aren't sitting on fucking 85 base speed and have higher offenses.

Except it's special move pool is MUCH better and it only has 85 SpA to work with while it does not have the bulk or speed to back that up. Also, you forgot Bubblebeam as a special move option.

Nidoking has no recovery to take advantage of these and none of them boost it's meager speed. Call me when it gets Quiver Dance or Dragon Dance.

There were Flabebe line threads daily when Gen 6 was new. Nowadays, the "new toy" charm has worn off with more viable fairies introduced.

Also her pre evo's "special form" outclasses her in every way.

I used it in Gen VIas some weird AV Modest regen pivot with 252 HP and 252 SpA.
Put Scald, Future Sight, Fire Blast, and Shadow Ball on it. Future Sight allowed me to switch into my bulky Mega Altaria without having to worry about things like Gengar fucking my shit up.

Coupled with Tangrowth, got 1600 on Shitdown so I felt like it was okay.

Luckily i think Escavalier has just enough. you forgot he learns fsll stinger, poison jab from TM, pursuit from egg moves and is one of the few pokemon with smart strike!
