>>31590985The raw count for GSC is complete. On the road to become Johto champion, there are 230 trainer battles with a total of 510 Pokemon, for an average of 2.22 Pokemon per battle.
The Kanto section of GSC also contains 109 trainer battles with a total of 268 Pokemon, for an average of 2.46 Pokemon per battle. The Trainer House is not included in this count, as the battle there varies in Pokemon count based on player interaction (if you include the Trainer House at default values, we're at 110 battles against 271 Pokemon, which isn't enough to significantly change the average).
If we total the Johto and Kanto sections, we get the same 340 trainer battles (this number does include the Trainer House at default stats) against a total of 781 Pokemon, for an average of 2.30 mons per fight.
