sorry I was mixed up
I thought I'd used one in that situation before but it was slightly different
It lets you avoid MOVING your fig if its already on the board
but it won't prevent a waitwin

so if you're on your goal with your last fig and moving it off board would let the opponent take it, you can instead use a plate on the fig and end the turn, but you're likely to be doomed in that situation anyway

you can level it 10 times
each level lets you up a moves damage by 1 point
at this point its good to use to win a tie breaker
(so you can have a 71 damage move win vs a 70 damage move) but eventually people will be maxing them out

for commons you need to raise 30 points for each level
uncommons 9, rares 3 and EX 1

I'd possibly also count the fact that Shelgon's Withdraw is white, so you could theoretically get taken to status effect shenanigans, while Squirtle's blue Withdraw blocks all those as well.

I think it would be added later on in the English version. Japan also has a cruise level in story mode that lets you duel past hotel owners and have a chance to win an EX.
Though I think actual plot-wise, it's about as far as we are (that is, end of Elysium hotel)

Pull or craft it. It's worth it.

Well some 1 MP's can be used as Powerhouse Tanks like Charizard EX and such. I use Drapion in that way sometimes because of its great ability.

I battled someone who had two on his team and they effectively blocked me from even getting close to his goal because of their 100 damage white attacks. The ~40% purple attack is annoying as well since you can't just beat it with another purple attack. My only potential counter was Greninja since it's my only Pokemon with a gold attack but it wound up being useless because of that 40% chance to use the 100 power hydro pump compared to Greninja's mediocre gold/white attacks.

If you evolve a pokemon they get 10+ power to their attacks and get an extra star on purple moves, so they'd be a little more reliable. Not worth it if eevee has shit moves though.
