In my personal opinion, I love Best Wishes and I found most of the hate of it was mainly due to 2 things mainly.

1.Ash losing to Trip.
2.Iris calling Ash a Kid.

But I did found those things to get on my nerves or to actually be a problem.

The Best Episode? The episode we're Iris has to watch a Dineo at the daycare,it was both a funny and emotional episode, plus it Developed Iris's character.

A butch of Mean rich girls are rude to Iris and her Pokemon, so she, Ash, and Cilan dress up has rich women and take revenge.

I didn't love Best Wishes, but I liked it for the most part. The only things I didn't like were the way they fucked up Dawn (they brought her back to do literally nothing other than shit on her best friend with Iniggeris), the overuse of running gags (literally no excuse to do the Steffan name thing more than once an episode, but they did it literally every time his name was mentioned), the lack of closure for Georgia and Burgundy and everything about Cameron.

I liked the tournament arcs, episodes without Team Rocket and the overall faster pacing.

The crossdressing episode was also my favourite episode, in fact it's one of my favourite episodes period.

Not him, but you need to read more. The gym battles were a key reason for me. Also the clusterfuck of rivals and other secondary characters, many of whom never got proper sendoffs/closures. The Episode N arc was also hugely disappointing to me, as N was basically reduced to this groveling philosopher most of the time until he talked to Reshiram for like 5 minutes. The league was abysmal, especially the 1v1 Trip battle and the Cameron battle. Ash was reduced to idiot status, seemingly forgetting how to do all kinds of shit he should know after traveling four regions before. And then Decolora was just a total anticlimax, and Iris and Cilan were just matter-of-factly shuttled off at the last second without much fanfare at all. I could go on with criticisms, but there's a start right there, and it doesn't even mention the early loss to Trip or Iris' whole shtick.

Most of the ending songs of Pocket Monsters are catchy. The first BW ED was good as well, along with the EDs of the 14th movies. Hell, even the dub EDs of the 14th movies were OK.

I personally loved how they handled N, he actually did stuff instead of whining and fighting you with his Pokemon even though he dislikes Pokemon fighting.
