i love it actually, unlike those boring ones in gen 5 the line is actually well thought out
one is one the weakest pokemon that becomes one of the strongest and the other is one of the ugliest pokemon and becomes one of the most beautiful
it's not just a clone they used the same concept to create something different

shame they couldn't get Milotic a mega

because counterparts done well are great. Makes for some lore about in-game parallel evolutions. Makes for some nice themed teams. Makes for good fan art

Bold with marvel scale holding a flame orb
dump EVs into Defense and HP and put the last 6 into speed
have recover/scald/ice beam/dragon tail as moveset
make sure it's female unless you kiss girls

Forgot to mention that this was a set I originally used in gen 5 when fairy type wasn't a thing yet, so you can change dragon tail to something else if you prefer

Everyone tries to run Milotic in all sorts of different ways, but I never see anyone use what from my experience is the most effective set.

worked well for me was just bulky as fuck and impossible to kill.

Just make sure they don't butt in to what Magikarp and Feebas have going on. If it's a base 540 water serpent that evolves from a fish, I don't want it. They're supposed to be counterparts, not part of a set like the Eeveelutions.

I am aware of that, those two are my top 2 water bros. But I'd be lying if I said I'm not jealous of the guy who can make an all-bear team, or an all-butterfly/moth team, etc. Gorebyss and Huntail don't match up at all. Maybe because they executed it nicely and Milotic and Gyarados are great counterparts? Still a bummer that Milotic didn't get the Water/Fairy Mega with Serene Grace it deserved, though.
