Remakes are just 1 per console generation; and gens are 2 per console generation, the first is a trial launching gen and the second is the gen that use the full potential of the console.

Gen 2: gen that used full potential of the GB color
Gen 3: the exception of the rule, trial and full potential of the GB advance
Gen 4: trial gen for the DS
Gen 5: gen that used full potential of the DS
