How good is pic related compared to other mystery dungeon titles?

I got a 30% eshop discount off selected titles for my birthday and this was the only one that interested me, is it any good?
Only other mystery dungeon I've played is blue rescue team and I thought it was alright.

Yes, but do not set your expectations high for the story. Recommend playing the games in order, not because of chronology, but because there may be some things you will find unfamiliar due to gameplay evolution.
Play Explorers of Sky first (the most well-rounded of the PMD games and better than Rescue in nearly every way), then either play or watch Gates to Infinity (it has the best story in PMD but has substantial gameplay flaws), and finally Super (which is considered to have arguably the best gameplay).
