We wanted anything but another Fighting-type, and while it's technically in-line with what we asked, it is literally as close as they could make it to be Fire/Fighting - participates in a form of competitive fighting and is basically just a human in a mascot suit. It's stupid, and no one but the japanese and us autists understand the reference it's trying to make. Very few people are satisfied with it.
I'm still completely baffled that they had the gap with Delphox in it, too. I hope that means that it actually wasn't intentional and we'll get some new, fresher material soon...
Also, what is with the Fire starters names all being garbage since gen 3 or 4? Literally just two words mashed together with no secondary meanings or neat attributes. All the other starters' names have been more clever than Fire starters, consistently so.
