PU was an unofficial smogon tier for all the bad stuff in NU. Like, there's no way you can put Ledian and Gastrodon in the same tier. It became an official tier after a while, and no, the acronym does not stand for anything.

that would be interesting, I would slow U turn to get it out safely the first turn, then protect on the next turn, after that it would have 0 on all stats and gain 1 every turn, could be interesting

I'm not so sure. Even with its stats contrary leaf storm is excellent in itself, it might end up in low-mid NU or PU frankly. It's got acceptable bulk that doesn't rely on eviolite like Servine, and hits a lot harder. It's also got decent attack stat I guess
