Why is this a fairy type? On that note, what criteria is used to determine whether a Pokemon is fairy type or not? Seems totally random. As far as I can tell -> as long as something is either: cute, cuddly, campy, or pretty, it qualifies as being a fairy type. Although, there are a lot of cute/cuddly/campy/pretty Pokemon that aren't fairy types, so...
Seems like Gamefreak really dropped the ball when it comes to fairy-type lore. they could have made Fairy a type based on mythology and folklore and mythical creatures.
