Opened an 11 Consecutive Victory Booster. Lost on 10 wins twice, but used Gems. Got my second birb of cancer, Articuno, and used it with Zapdos to get an easy win.
I love this event.

Just like any spin during battle, the result of the chance/reward spin for quest duels is determined well before you spin; the wheel is going to land where the game has already decided it will land. Manually spinning the wheel with your finger and pressing the spin button are the exact same thing.

Yes, but it doesn't affect the quality of the OTHER figures you get in the pack. For instance, the 10-win pack includes 1 R or higher, 1 UC or higher and 2 figure. It means tou can get 4 EX figures in this pack

This event is really fun, it's only downside is that there's so many EX birds, you have the legendary trio, Ho-Oh, Lugia and Yvetal.
every game that i've played has had the same start

I think literally everyone who did the quests figured out pretty fast that the reward spins were rigged. It doesn't matter anyways since the other rewards you can get are shitty com mons or shitty plates (with a couple exceptions).

Doesn't this refers to the variety of figures, not the quality? As in how many EX figures are available. The list of available EXs is the same for all streak levels.

Quality increases with streak level. In 11 streak, you have the highest chance of getting an EX. Much, much higher compared to 1-7.

OK /pdg/ I'm at my wits end here, I at least want to get a Gyrados from this event, but I'm seriously getting assfucked by 3birb, 6ex teams, and I have no idea what to do. I just can't win regularly against 3mp mega shuppets, all the wins I do get are from hilarious RNG or in the rare case my opponent fucking up so I can actually get to their cap.

This is my team and all my rares, I have opened tons of quads with absolute trash luck.

Gather gems until a sextuple pack returns to the shop (this is where most people have their EXes from) - do quest battles, daily missions, collect login bonuses etc

Open as many gold/rainbow boosters as you can

Alternatively, if you didn't get very far into the game yet, reroll the first booster ticket you get after skipping the tutorial and try to roll an EX. See OP for more info on reolling.

Nah its finally in a good state now that the multiple leggo birb owners who know how to abuse them have their proper rating
the first day I was barely getting 3 win streaks, but now I can get to around 9 pretty easily, a lot of the people I'm facing are trash even when they ocassionally have a leggo birb

I dont think the new player was having fun though because he forfeited after he saw charizard evolve

he's got a base 41.7% of evasive moves, the same amount in a 50 damage attack, and one of the evasive moves (the purple) landing means that he is a huge threat for his next fight

3mp figs are supposed to be risky to fight or at least avoid fights, and he does both well

you cant discredit a 3mp mon by saying something like 'oh but my charizard deals higher damage so its better than it'

Yveltal is my goat goalie and mid defender, and sometimes even wins me matches after a dark mist or two, its super good and really fun to use.
The move you're thinking of is draining win, which makes a pokemon within 3 steps get moved closer and gain wait, which can be amazingly helpful sometimes.
I'd just sub out whoever you feel isn't putting in enough work for you

Still, 60/70/120 and 60/70/110 make both aeroplanes capable of killing most threats, and stopped by anything that can deal more than 60+ and 80+ with ATK plates, or even Pokemon that can deal even more.

Genesect is too mediocre, your 100BP move might not even do anything if the opponent lands purple or blue, it's too inconsistent and Genesect will lose battles with 50, which most offensive threats have even more BP, hell, even Glaceon has 60 BP. Sure it can dodge as well but that means turns are passing and hoping for 25% to boost.... is not that efficient.

A consistent BP is much more better than relying on a slight chance to do something or do nothing.

It's not an implication out of nowhere, the context of the original post is Genesect's viability in general, not the flying gym. Any reasonable person would think under those circumstances that the stats being used would be of Pokémon under normal circumstances as opposed to during a one-week temporary event.

you might regret missing a greninja one day depending on events, but the 21 damage shurikens will definitely beat at least a few things occassionally

100 damage is a pretty common number
(other blastoise, ho-oh, zapdos, yveltal, charged genesect)
having 101 vs those guys is a really good feeling

There's no doubt in my mind that it rigs the rolls now. It got a bunch of other ridiculous luck in that game as well.
