Man, replaying this on the virtual console has been a lot of fun. Going back and catching a bunch of my favorite original 151 to eventually be put into my Gen VII game for potential competitive use really adds to the longevity of pokemon, not so much as a singular game, but as a franchise in itself. There will always be fags that single out particular gens as their favorite, but when you truly look at Pokemon, the games stand stronger together, than individually.
