>>31804807The issue with the gender ratio thing is that the whole reason they made them always be mostly male to begin with has becoming kind of outdated. Dittos can be obtained fairly recently in the games, and people will just reset a ton for a female if they want it anyway. If anything it became a bigger deal as they started introducing more feminine starters.
Personally I think they should stop the stupid gender ratio thing, since like with Eevee and the fossil pokemon it's there as a gameplay mechanic more than any real tie to lore. I mean Mewtwo is identified as genderless in the games, yet has a clear gender in the anime.
