Don't you hate how the starter formula changed over the years?
Back in my days starters were just cool monsters to battle with, but now gamefreak wants them to have personalities and feelings and all sorts of shit.
They want to appeal the children and the furries and the steven universe fans. They don't look like pokemon anymore, they look like characters from a furry videogame or something.
Take something like incineroar or primarina, and imagine it as a starter back in gen 1/2/3/4. That looks out of place as fuck, right?
We will NEVER get a flawless starter trio like we did in gen 3 and 4, mark my fucking words.
