Gen 4 sort of balances the type match ups:
Infernape is weak to Water and Ground.
Empolean is weak to Fighting and Ground.
Torterra is weak to Fire and 4x weak to Empoleon's thematically appropriate coverage.

Fuck lol I was trying to think of the other starters to make sure I wasn't an idiot and when I got to gen 4 I just looked at empoleon on torterra and neglected infernape on empoleon and torterra on infernape
