Mega Evolution is kinda like a 4th evolution stage (for some Pokemon)

Z-Moves are kinda like an extra 5th move.

I wanna say maybe some gimmick that acts kinda like you have a 7th party member on your team but we already have Poke-Ride for that.

You can choose a support move from one your pokemon on the bench and use it once per battle
It'd lets you use 2 moves in one turn
Support move could be shit like protect, helping hand, any priority move (Gives its priority to the move your front line pokemon choose), any stats boost (priority so you get the stats boosts before you attack), any weather moves etc

Assist Pokemon. Each type has a special assist move, similar to a Z-Move. You only get 3 assists, but if the opponent uses a spread move on the turn you call an assist, the assist takes double the normal damage.

Super Abilities.

By giving a Pokemon a "Ability Gem" to hold, the Pokemon's inner power will be unleashed. The Super Ability varies from evolutionary lines to evolutionary lines (though certain lines may have differing abilities if they have split evolutions) but serves to augment the holder in unique ways. It does not replace the holder's current ability, meaning that the holder can have both their ability and their super ability active at the same time.

Examples of super abilities.

>Venusaur line: Takes half damage from all attacks if Venusaur moves before the attacker
>Charizard line: Gains STAB on dragon type moves
>Blastoise line: Gains steel type resistances and immunities
>Raichu line: Electric type attacks can hit ground type pokemon
>Gengar line: Ground type immunity
>Alakazam line: Psychic type attacks can hit dark type pokemon
>Machamp line: Dynamic Punch deals double damage against confused foes
>Hitmonlee: +1 priority on kicking moves
>Hitmonchan: +1 priority on punching moves
>Tyranitar line: Takes half damage from all attacks in Sandstorm
>Lucario line: Aura Sphere's BP raised to 140 and gains +1 priority
>Zoroark line: All attacks breaking Illusion will not damage the user

Said abilities work regardless of opposing Pokemon's ability. It's not like those guys are sweepers, so I fail to see how Bruxish or Tsareena need to cockblock 'em.
