>>31894698>That's the issue. If you want to end a drought, release something main or major, like Fusion and Prime did back in 2002.of course
-Tanabe said a Prime-style game will likely be on the Switch
-the head of EPD, Takahashi, said a normal Prime and Traditional Metroid will come in the deep future
okay anon, here's what i was try to say.
-both Pinball and FF had awful sales and are the 2nd and 1st worse selling Metroid titles, domestically and worldwide
-people held this tiny thought that Nintendo is harsh to non-topdog Nintendo series if it doesn't sell above Nintendogs or as good as the lesser topdog series that is Animal Cross
-the small idea that "if a filler game didn't sell well like a normal entry, Nintendo will question or start cut the ropes for the series."
-apparently, the only time Nintendo "threaten" to stop a series is when they saw no good progress on FE before Awakening and Chibi-Robo after Zip-Lash.
Metroid had none of that, just Reggie saying Other M won't make it to a half-million. (which was proven right, no official confirmation anywhere that Other M did so)
as i try to mow away from that one autist on /v/, i'm trying to tell people to quit doubting Nintendo and the future of the Metroid.
people thought Nintendo will never come back to Sandbox 3D Mario until they shown of SM Odyssey
and as far as people make complaints about Sakamoto and Tanabe's recent meddling, they still managed to release proper games in the past like Fusion, Zero Mission and Prime 3.
all i'm trying to say, is the stop jumping the gun and wait for E3 2018.
