After repairing my emerald cartridge I want to finally try to beat the frontier. Do I need to EV train my mons or can I just use randoms? As a child I only remember getting the gold factory symbol, the silver symbol from Lucy and losing to Tucker.
Also post your playthrough teams I guess, not gonna post mine because I'm rushing through with swampert

How does one reset for a roaming legendary? Do I have to select latios after the credits and search for it or just catch it and SR? I'll definetly use the Masterball for it

My internal battery has run dry, I tried changing it but other batteries don't work for some reason. Will that affect the SR? (I don't think it does but just to be sure I want to double check)

No. Just use berries to lower an unused stat.

My Salamence has like 100 EVs on all stats but special attack and works fine.

The game back then wasn't retarded offensive like today where everything is fast and can OHKO your whole team.

Isn't SBall physical in gen 3?
Also I guess I'll use Heracross, Metagross and Latios, don't feel like ev training too much but I'd like to know the heracross set

EV training is mandatory if you pretend to get the gold symbols. For silver I'd say not so much, just use good pokemon. But for gold streaks you're going to need your pokemon to perform their best because every little point makes the difference. Not so sure about IVs, but ideally you don't want shit IVs either.

I had to train at least 9 mons. Don't remember their natures but they were all level 50 and I pumped them all up with calciums, proteins, and the like. And I don't remember all their movesets
