>>31906886I think GF should still release the rest of the gems at some point - I think they have their niche even when Z-Crystals are a thing. Like how they get consumed, or how multiple members of a party can use different gems (unlike Z-Crystals), or how they boost any move of the gem's type by 1.5, which is in contrast to Z-Crystals that can boost an attack by much more.
>>31906928AFAIK it really depends on who's hitting what. I've seen a few CybertronVGC videos where someone doesn't necessarily get a KO with a Z-Move. Plus Z-Moves are still subject to ability/type-related immunities, and while Protect doesn't fully make you invulnerable, having your opponent waste a Z-Move only for it to do 1/4 of the damage is pretty nice.
