Is the original pokemon tv series any good? I never had an interest in pokemon myself but I'm open to it and I'm looking for something to sink time, would you recommend it to someone like me?

It's okay for what it was, but i would only recommend it for someone who has nostalgia for the orignal pokemon. There's way too much filler and the dub is done by 4kids, which if you've seen any of the other anime they'd butchered you know what to expect. People say they did a better job than the people who took over during the battle frontier and onward, but it was still had it's fair share of fuck ups and Americanizing, including the now infamous jelly filled doughnuts.
