I'm suddenly thinking about the good old days, back before my bro was good. I was a dumb kid playing Emerald, I didn't have a starter or any legendaries, even though we kept loosing I could never convince myself to drop him from the party. It took months but eventually I beat the E4 with this guy earning his rightful spot in the hall of fame. I can still vaguely remember spamming Night Shade with him over and over until either he or his enemy had stopped moving.
