That said, there's a certain style AND atmosphere Gen I had in art and its world's general feeling I quite adored. I wish I could explain it... is it the more prevailant feeling of Japanese influence? Sugimori's original art style? Being very slightly less kiddified (Gamblers as opponents, everyone using whips, etc.)? I can't say.
If I could see more post-Gen III pokemon in the old Gen 1 art style, I'd be a happy happy camper.
