For what purpose? Each of the previous gens had one place where you could buy everything you want, but here not even the megamart sells everything you need.

It's happened in most recent titles.
In ORAS they were also scattered across the region, especially Pokeballs.
Less so in XY because of Lumiose though.

To be honest every new Pokemon game gets telar reviews and SM makes a good first impression: great graphics, no HMs, GF tries somenew stuff etc but once you dive into it it gets worse and worse
