the dynamic punch thing means they're either No Guard or you're on the receiving end of some luck fuckery. If it's Focus Punch it means you really fucked the cow somewhere along the line.

You think that's bad? I paralyzed a Celesteela and the effect only happened twice in around 10 or so turns.

The rate of getting fully paralyzed was decreased in gen7. Nevertheless paralysis should primarily be used to drop speed.
