it's an actual chimera comprised of parts from other digimon. Sivally just has parts that are implied to be from each type, even then it's not really that clear.

I like Silvally, but could be more cool with different parts of other pokemon, as a arcanine paw, vaporeon tail, mewtwo neck-thing wtr

Game Freak could have gone the lazy route and slapped together a bunch of designs together, but we got a unique design instead.
Silvally makes the chimera concept clear without needing to stand on the shoulders of other designs

Starts off kind of slow with their daily lives, seeing their digimon again so suddenly but then it kicks of when a virus infecting the digimon is introduced.

02 protags have yet to be seen. The Digimon Emperor wasn't Ken but a disguised Gennai

How so? I think it pulled off the chimeric look rather well; something that came from a bunch of other things, but still its own identity.

The problem with the design is that there are too many digimon that seem like chimeras without being, so, it does not stand out much, it is just a being overloaded more.
