Festival plaza is a huge stepdown from the PSS and any online menu
The new gimmicks are all bad and useless ( Rotom dex is litteraly just a map on the bottom screen, the bean islands are completely useless, taking pictures is a boring minigame, refresh is a gimped pokemon amie )
game is short and uninteresting, with exploration being gimped ( there's nothing new to visit / revisit in the region, compare that with Gen V, it's sad )
even more lag issues, game takes ages to start up, menus and battles are even laggier than in XY
UI is the worst in any nDS pokemon games, bottomscreen is useless making 50% of the screen wasted in game
Ultra beasts are just legendaries, nothing new
Also everything about them, they're just random encounters in the grass, + necromoza
Battle tree is a gimped battle mansion and battle mansion was already a gimped version of battle subway
