What do you think of GEN VII?
I think GEN VII is the worst in the series...

I agree, it's definitely my least favourite one yet. I just feel like all the fundamental video game pillars - level design and writing especially - are the worst the main games have offered yet. Except the graphics, which are great.

I liked them for trying something new, like not having gyms and delving into more sensitive subject material in terms of the main (and only) story in the game. Had it not been for this small change, I would have stopped playing the series completely after what I had experienced in X&Y.

One of my probelms was the Alola region, i just didn't feel fun to explore to me...i loved exploring the Sinnoh or the Hoeen region, but i just didn't liked Alola very well.
Another of my problems are the pokemon desings we have some good desings like Vikavolt,Cutiefly,Lurantis,Rockruff... and then we have horrible desings like Crabominable,Yungoos,Turtonator,Bruxish,Dhelmise or just outright boring desings: Pikipek,Rimbombee,Mudsale,Mudbray,Comfey...

And hey anything is better than Gen 6. Though I do prefer Gen 6's mons overall compared to Gen 7, 7 has a lot of good ones too.

I would definitely say that this was my least favorite gen. I recognize the fact that XY and ORAS were worse games, but I got a lot more enjoyment out of them.

Z-moves, Ultra Beasts, and regional forms are just no where near as hype inducing as Megas, the jump to 3d, and fairy typing were.

I'm sure the next gimmick will be something huge and attention grabbing like fusions or cross-gen evolutions or something.

I don't like most of the pokémon designs and the few ones that I like are not great in competitive. The games were harder than gen 6 and had better graphics but everything else was worse (online, story, gameplay, grinding, customization).

The campaign was new and fresh, so I enjoyed. But when it ended, there was no reason to play the game anymore, the postgame being weak is the nail in the coffin. I played for some time but moved on to Zelda and other series. It sucks, but I regret buying SM.

It was super fun until you beat it, then there's nothing to do except Battle Tower number 4331431 and online. Except online is shit now. Also I can't remember a single place in the whole region. All the new mons have cool designs though, and the battle music is top tier. Overall it was okay.

One of my absolute favorite gens, and some of my favorite designs as a bugfag and grassfag. Water got it good too.

I like the extra stuff they put in too, just got Plaza rank 48 and I'm trying to stallfag my way though the battle tree. Pelago is nice too.

Pretty good so far, rushed and overhyped, but still pretty good. Then again its maybe because of how mediocre Gen 6 was as a whole that made me lowered my expectations.

I just hope GF don't f*cked up with the next Pokemon game.

I had a lot of fun with the story and it was a pretty nice looking game, especially because it finally got rid of the chibi characters in the overworld.
I loved that it finally got rid of the HMs, even if the pokerides music is annoying as fuck it's still an incredible useful thing to have.
I like most of the new pokemon, the only ones i don't care about were the ones that had only 1 stage, like komala or drampa, everything else was interesting and looked good enough for me.
i though the map was kind of small and there weren't enough cities but i only realize this after i was done with the story.
The story was fine but i would've loved if they had used the UBs in the story other than just fighting nihilego twice and all of the others being keep for postgame quests.
I loved that they tried something new with the trials and that for the most part they were different enough from each other, and the totem fights were exciting and fun, it's a shame that the engine which the game uses is so bad and that it lags so badly in said totem battles and multibattles.
The music this game was really good, but it was few.
Hopefully most of the problems gets fixed if we ever get a third version of SM.
