If Bane and Cubone have one common thread.. Bane was meant to serve out a lifetime in a brutal prison for his father's crimes. Killing before he was 9. Always trapped, literally, by concrete and steel until he drew strength from within himself and broke the bat. Became a monster.
Cubone, traps itself in a prison by wearing it's mothers skull. Constantly reminded of how alone it really is. Forced to survive by any means, drawing power from it's always present pain. Like a fish swimming through water, Cubone forgets it's physical prison(the skull) and thrives on the power it draws from the rage/pain.
