Some of the less used characters from gen IV deserve some love. I get that the game designers love Cynthia and tbqh I love her too but she's not the only cool thing from that game. Seeing Volkner or Lucian for instance would be interesting.

LITERALLY any character. There's no one character that deserves to return more than any other. As far as personal preferences go, I have no character I want to see return. The only ones I do aren't gonna, like the protags.

I wanna challenge some of the other protagonists. Sure, Red's cool and all, but why not mix it up? After all, the original BW protags were intended to be challengers in BW2.

They don't want to make a protagonist canon over the other. Red was the only one in RGB and was made canon in GSC.

I kinda want to see Gold/Ethan as a middle age (or old) hermit up atop a lush mountian. Doesn't even have to be a fight or a starter-giver. Just a house out in the middle of nowhere, with 16 badges in a case, and his old hat on his nightstand.

He'd just have the 3 starters' final evolutions wandering around his property.

Examining his stuff would trigger nods to gen 2 (and maybe HGSS) through dialogue.

"Oh, those old things? Yeah, back in the golden days I traveled quite a bit, even to other regions. Good times, they were."

"That hat? Used to wear it backwards as a kid to be 'hip'. Doesn't fit me anymore, but it's a comforting memory."
