Like we know that feet can be dirty, smelly and disgusting but they don't always have to be. Although some footfags do go for that exact kind of thing.
I don't think footfags are oblivious of the negative stigma behind feet, but I also believe this plays into it on two levels.
1) It's not just the feet themselves but rather the fact they belong to a woman the admirer finds attractive in general.
2) It's a devotion-type fetish, in that one is willing to go that far on a character or real person.
Believe it or not, even a footfag can be put off under certain conditions but that depends person to person.
