I made a thread about this weeks ago but nobody believed me. There's a glitch in the battle tree that involves Toxic discontinuing to work after the enemy Pokemon uses Recover.

It's happened multiple times and I made a thread on /vp/ without evidence but this time I finally remembered to record it. I toxic the Reuniclus, he uses Recover, stops taking damage forever despite the status staying. (If I try to Toxic again, it says already poisoned.)

He switched out and came back later, same thing. Still "poisoned" but takes no damage.
