You can get deoxys A, D and S from timed boosters currently (except for orange boosters), but not from shop boosters

you can check the booster contents yourself

does anyone ever have issues starting a match in story mode? sometimes the match just never starts. I get stuck at the loading screen and it never goes away. It's really annoying since I have to restart the app every time it happens.

Is there a way to keep it from happening? It seems random. My internet connection is good, league matches work, I never get disconnected, etc. It's only story mode that I have problems with

I personally don't like Blastoise very much. He dies to yellows near 50% of the time and 2 stars for his purple doesn't feel strong enough a lot of the time. The fact that it breaks even on Dimensional Slip has fucked me a lot as well. I'd personally run Kirlia instead but take my advise with a grain of salt. I'm not Masters.

the game is good, but really stressing, as in you will often get in a match that seems really fucking hard to win, you will be under pressure all of the time and think your moves very well, but at the same time you wanna move quickly since it's timed, and in the high levels you will often find yourself thinking that it's you against a montain of bullshit.
all in all i give it a 7/10.

from the beginning of the flying gym to now i've pulled yvetal, charizard, lucario, 1 deoxys-n, deoxys a, and rayquaza. mostly from timed boosters and gym rewards

i've only really used lucario and deoxys-a but i'm going to try and build a vibrava deck now that i have 2

Boy i'm thankful that EX don't drop that often, it's bad enough with the rich kids having full teams of deoxies with cosmos energy and japanese players with 103 dmg gyrados and zapdos in the same team, just thinking about the deoxis figures being common makes me want to jump a bridge.

Has anyone tried abusing Google Rewards for this game?

When you download the GR on your phone for the first time and link your google account, you get $1 in play store credit after inputting your basic info.

Since Pokemon Duel isn't linked to a google account, when you go to purchase gems, you can select which account you want to use to buy them. So if your main account has $0 in credit you can use your credit card, if your other other account has $1 in credit you can use that, etc.

So, the idea is that you keep making new google accounts, get your free $1, buy $1 worth of gems, and repeat.

What do you think? Has someone thought of this before? I'm guessing someone has but I figured I'd put it here anyway

Plates are:
>double chance, max revive, scoop up, hurdle jump

General strat is to rush a spawn point ASAP, before sticking Zapdos on my goal. If you open:
>move an MP3 to one of the middle tiles
>they'll counter with the opposite move
>move an MP3 three tiles up the outside of the board
>if they're retarded, they'll meet it
>hurdle jump, giving you sight of goal
>run another MP3 up behind your goal trap and take his Pokemon

Then just play reflexively. Scoop up and max revive are both incredibly good. Max revive especially, the amount of times I've had gren on a spawn point and a Pokemon behind it, before reviving something and capturing it instantly, is pretty crazy

(Both plates let you make a move after using them so they're great for surrounds and positioning plays)

I have a fug for my strong attacker, but I feel that having the extra mp on Zapdos makes up for the 20 point different in gold attackes.

And fug also can't kill a Deoxys-a anyways, so at least Zapdos can get to other targets faster.

Yeah scoop up is really really good. I want to use swap spot too but I don't have that yet.

I forgot to say, double chance is exclusively to remove Lati@s with Deo-A. Making it a 5v6 off the bat almost guarantees the win through numbers advantage.

all of the battles of 2000+ league players are saved. from there probably like 20 are chosen where the number of turns is something reasonable. from there the devs review them and pick a handful where the usernames don't seem offensive.

i'm almost 100% sure this is how it's done

What should I put the +1 damage on for Vibrava.
71 seems really good but the slice is puny and 41 seems okay too.

If they at least had Azumarill in the game, I would be happy with it. It's actually great for a preevolution, since, like gothita and solosis, they don't have a purple segment, so you can slap an x-attack on it and get an almost guaranteed kill on something like Mew.

i have been playing since the 2nd week. never spent any real money on the game. only bought 1 sextuple pack when they were around and got a shitty delphox from it that carried me for literally the first two months since i've never gotten a single ex from a 4 pack for some reason. Then during the fighting gym as if god existed and he came down from the heavens i pulled like no joke 10 ex's. i got 100 wins total in the gym so do the math. every other 2box and timed booster i'd get an ex during that gym for some crazy reason. then as soon as the gym ended i stopped getting ex's again (except a giratina from a timed box).

this game is honestly weird.

so you poison a pikachu, and the same poisoned pikachu attacks you and you land on poison again. does that count towards the 3 count or does it not register as a poison if you poison a figure thats already been poisoned?

it's niche is really moving through other figures, but at the same time it's almost a death sentence, unless they make it a non-surround ghost, then it'd be really nice to push it inside enemy territory and fire at will from that position

I have an older phone that I use sometimes to test things with (is my actual phone working, etc.) and started playing Pokemon Duel with it on a new account yesterday. I'm 1500 and decided to do a Room Match. The guy I got paired with was a 2400 deoxys/reuniclusfag. I thought he would just forfeit like everyone else does but no, he played completely seriously the whole time. Cosmo Energy, Hurdle Jump, etc, etc. He even tried that Swap Spot bullshit with Deoxys S. I guess he had to do that Win 3 Room Matches daily mission and thought he could get an easy win against a new player. Somehow I beat him with Pikachu R, Monferno, Poliwag, Goomy, Squirtle, and Spearow.

I wish I took a screenshot but none of the hardware buttons work on this phone and gestures don't work correctly

damn it was so good

yeah Greninja is not a bad Mew, it's just Mew got a really good couple of buffs, Greninja is random but there's always one that goes above and beyond with the shurikens and makes for better stories

TL:DR
got really lucky with opponent rolling 2 misses against my Glaceon and Deoxys Speed with Zapdos and Ho-Oh and won the match.

I genuinely feel bad for that guy but then I feel like I shouldn't feel bad because he was a cosmo energy asshole, but I still feel bad for him.

i try to actively stay around 2300, sometimes even playing reclessly if i'm getting too high. it keeps matches way more fun and varied. since you still match with 2000 shitters and occasionaly pros. i would rather die than be at 2800 where every game is a deoxys reinculus stall fest.

also i stopped playing the game at 1am since its guranteed you will run into no fun allowed autists unless you play at normal hours.

If you get matched with someone with about equal skill and don't mind RNG too much, then yes it can be fun.
If you get matched with a whale and don't have the appropriate checks for the hot new broken figures (currently Reuniclus and Deoxys-A), then no.
