Get more opaque than that, and you'll have kids turning off the game in frustration. It might get a bit repetitive to you and me, but we're not the primary concern here. The series can't survive on veteran fans alone, it needs to find and retain new ones.
More complex and challenging themes should be saved for post-game, where people like us can enjoy them, but they won't block progress for younger players
