Really, it's personal preference. I do reckon it's definitely up there, but the Layton segments might not be appealing to everyone.
The attorney segments are straight 10/10 though.

I've got no personal qualms about it. It's my 4th favourite in the series. It's just that the Layton segments are subpar for a Layton game and those who aren't a fan of Layton seem to be put off by it.

AA3's final case carries the whole game. Nothing has topped it yet so AA3 is still considered the best. Also the 3rd case was good
