I'm not trolling, gen II is one of my favorite too, but thinking back on it most of the Pokémon I like were available very late (like Houndoom, Sneasel and Tyranitar - already weird since Dark was a type introduced this gen) and most of the pre-E4 Pokémon were either Kanto or shit aside from Heracross and 2 out of 3 starters.
I still think gen II had the best aesthetics though, the sprites and environments looked so good, not to mention the radio is one of my favorite features.
