Mudkip and Swampert are alright, but Marshtomp is probably the blandest middle form starter of the lot. Nobody gives a shit about this thing. It's like Servine where it exists purely to be a bridge between the first and last forms.

Objectively the best designed Water starter, but that's no surprise since Blaziken is the best designed Fire starter and Sceptile is the best designed Grass starter. What a great gen for new Pokemon.
