Mew will only show itself to a trainer with a pure heart. What do you have to do to get it? Decline a battle with a strong trainer, go indulge a weak trainer, and then fly to the place you'd go if you wanted to pay your respects to Pokemon who've passed on. Pacifism, patience, and respect for Pokemon. Sounds pretty pure hearted to me.

Yeah. I do. And if you did, you'd know the genetic material that forms the organism and the genetic material the organism uses to form its offspring aren't necessarily exactly the same. On the contrary, in the case of in vitro genetic modification, they would especially be expected to differ. Think about it, why would the creators of Mewtwo have modified its gonads? It's not like there's some super-powerful move called "Testicle Bomb."
