Why is everyone shitposting about the job listing?
First of all, there are several conflicting reports and translations, so honestly I have no idea where people are getting confirmations from regarding platforms and development windows. The listing appears to mention 3D modeling on a level of Vita and Wii U, but that doesn't mean much since the models are always future-proofed. I've only seen one or two translations mention "console" being in the listing at all, and frankly it wouldn't really make much sense for that to be in a job listing if it's not meant to be temp work. I've also heard people throwing around years like 2018 and 2019, which, for one thing, would completely undermine this hype because it means there's still a possibility of another game being announced and released within that time frame, and for another, still makes no sense, as the only time frame people taking the job would have to worry about is the time between being hired and being fired or retiring.
Regardless, conflicting reports mean that no one knows the real translation, and assuming one is correct over another and using that as proof is just acting stupid.
I don't trust random Anon translations either, so don't give me that shit.

Second of all, the listing being put up now means it's definitely not meant for something they're working on currently. You don't bring somebody new in halfway into the project.

Third and most importantly, they've already specified that they're not currently working on anything for the Switch, they're waiting to determine market success and demographic and other similar things that need to be addressed before development should be considered.

As a bonus, a fourth point: it's just a job listing. Apparently you all need a reminder that Gamefreak still exists every two months or you believe there's never going to be another Pokémon game again.

Basically you're all freaking out about literally nothing.
