i have problems against people who actually manage to rush my first or second rounder on the field and kill it, recovering from a single figure lost can be really hard, goomy and sliggoo can be a pain to deal with, vibrava as it is for antything, pretty much purple knockouts or confusion/paralize/burn

when you reach 3 rounders you feel confident enough to tank, and with 4 you fear nothing, no pords, no latis, even if you keep a 70 attack you can lose one figure already, at 250 you feel invincible, when you really aren't

Vibrava is going to take your entry point like 90% of the time so you just need to deal with it.

Its not impossible to win with only one entry point but strong Yellow attackers can pressure that Vibrava if you really want to take back that point. Zapdos and Pikachu R are pretty good options against Vibrava because they can also paralyze it and get rid of Dragon Breath if they get the chance. Mew is good too, but I'd be cautious just because Mud Shot beats Hyper Sonic and Shuttle Flip can be counter-intuitive

if you attack it you better have 100% not to die otherwise you lose the game off the bat (if you dont have long throw)

if you don't attack it or you tie then you either lose your fig after hurdle or you trade hurdles and lose an entry for it

I'm happy to let the opponent use up a hurdle just for an entry point
It lets me have the hurdle pressure throughout the game while they lost theirs
I usually only hurdle if it nets an instant surround and threatens something else at the same time

Occasionally you get people like this guy who are so eager to get entry points with hurdle that they forget they're supposed to be defending their own goal too

I checked him (checkmate really) with vibrava in the top right, he spent 20 seconds thinking then used double chance on garchomp and ran it up to vibrava which ended his turn

Can someone with more info post about this on reddit? And then can we all upvote it so it gets attention? One of the N*whales goes on the pokemon duel sub and everyone sucks his dick every time he posts. It would be nice to expose this and show everyone that these people cheated their way to the top.

The subs are /r/pokemonduel and /r/pokemondueljerk. /r/pokemonduel has nazi mods who remove everything. /r/pokemondueljerk is small but at least it will get attention there.

I've had plenty of connection issues with the game, some of which could have been seen as being forced out of a winning game but most likely were unrelated

just went to town on a 2300s player who was I'm quite sure f2p and really unlucky , given his team and I'm feeling really bad for the guy.

The only EX he had was a Dragonite which was evolved from Dragonair, he was using a shelgon.

It's quite admirable he's in masters with that kind of team, I'd have given him a mercy win but in league if I lose to 2300s despite being 2600 I'll lose massive ratings.

Okay what the hell is going on?

I won a match but my rank went down by about 40. I also didn't get a timed booster either.

It made me fight Bug Bot right afterwards too so the game thought my win counted as a loss.

What's happening and how do I fix this? It's happened like three times in a row (hence my shitty rating).

Oh. Well thanks then I think. Being a week into the game is still pretty exciting since I don't have to face the absolute most annoying stuff and only get paired with people who have way better figures than me like a third of the time. And even then sometimes you can play around the power gap between Pokemon, so no game is a surefire loss at this point.
Plus I think I'm getting better at the game. I've managed to dig myself out of awful situations a couple of times tonight, and managed to beat a person ranked like 130 points higher than me, then right afterwards got a forfeit win from a person 100 higher than me still. Not a direct measurement of player ability of course but the point is I'm having fun and no one can stop me yet.
Except energy needing to recharge.

Yeah I was grinding those tonight. Got my first rainbow box and a couple of purples but now the slots are full and it's gonna take another like 16 hours to unlock one. Burned my energy in the gym and then played league until I got my 4, but I'm supposed to be studying for this exam and writing a paper. Needless to say, procrastination is the best option.

Shitposter here. After two full months of daily playing, I want everyone to know that I finally pulled my first EX: a Mew from a gym booster. I now have three EXs, the other two being Deoxys-N and Dragonite. This is also my first gold attacker.

200 out of 4000, would still need to buy 19 more quadpacks to be able to buy an EX.
I've payed about 150 gems for 2 11 win boxes and both of them gave an EX, so i think they're totally more worth it than quadpacks.

Slaking vs Deoxys-A, for example.
Let's say you roll Fake Tears on Slaking.
Your opponent gets to pick for Reflective Laser before you get to pick for Fake Tears.
Then, you get to pick whether or not you reroll for Fake Tears. So far so good.

Here's the kicker: after you reroll for Fake Tears, Deoxys A gets to use Reflective Laser's force reroll A SECOND TIME.
And if you roll Fake Tears again off that Reflective Laser reroll? You don't get to use Fake Tears' effect!

also deoxis A is less cancer than reuniclus because it still has a huge chance of fucking itself in the ass by rolling it's purple, while reuniclus has a 50/100 attack, another attack that hits for 120 and finally an useful purple that is 3 stars meaning that it can cancel any other purple.

X attack rayy has 150 gold, break energy, and 3 star fly. All of which are fantastic rolls against any deo, except for counter on Defense I guess.
Double chance makes the gold attack less useful but makes it way easier to get the one you want.
Just be offensive with rayy, unless your luck is so bad you're getting misses, you should be able to stop deos. There's other things that work on deo, but you have the best one.

its not a bug, thats how its designed
for every respin the player makes, the opposing deoxys has the option to make them respin, but after they use it once they lose the option even if the player spins again

You can't even pull Deoxys out of the current booster. All the booster's EXs are shit. And you only have a 67% chance of pulling a jelly out of those 50 boosters.

probably the most OP Pokemon before gyms were Yveltal + Ho-oh + 3 Weavile. Yveltal has an enormous sized 100 attack (few Pokemon had 100+ attacks at the time) and two 2/3 star purple moves, one of which buffs dark Pokemon's attacks. It used to be one of the best attackers in the game. Weavile is a great attacker because of its ability. It's also got a decent sized gold attack. Ho-oh suicides itself to bring back dead Weavile. This team was extremely popular.

Yveltal + Greninja + whatever

Keldeo was common because of all of the Yveltal and Weavile teams

Manaphy + water pokemon was also popular

I want to say Lugia was OP too. 70 power used to be pretty good. Its 3 star purple move was amazing especially since there weren't too many gold attackers that could also deal with the 70 power attack (besides Raikou). Now Zapdos just destroys it.

Huge gold attacks with more damage than most of the best white attacks are stupid.

Me, today i lost about 250 ranking and got my daily box after winning against bug bot twice, make the math for that.
though two of those defeats were because shitty internet, i literally lost a match after moving my figure to capture the enemy goal and lost connection when my figure was making it's last step toward the goal, i got the victory animation and all, but it forced me to reload the game and when i came back i got only 1 fragment of the key for the daily box

I doubt it'll be a Fire Gym basing it off of Groudon coming back considering Primal Groudon is the Fire Type. It'll either be a Ground Gym or a Gym Ground gets the +20 boost (Fire, Electric, Steel. Poison, Rock)

Depends on your deck. If you have a fat one mp fig you wanna run down field or you have a lot of Pokemon with positional or movement abilities Kirlia is probably better. Garde is more of a straight forward bruiser and staller.

Congrats to everyone who will qualify for a gold trophy. I kept continuously getting within one win of breaking into it. At one point last night I was 1,204, even. Every time I need that one last victory to push me in I tank. My rating has now tilted down to about 2,000 and I just can't handle the heartbreak of coming so close each time and then getting paired with 5 deoxys teams when it matters most.

I would happily trade it for being able to pull a meta EX or R from one of the boxes. Plus I'd say reaching a high rank in league is much more indicative of your skill as a player.

its worth it compared to spending 200 gems for 4 figures only 1 of which is rare.

if you are low on ex's its worth spending the gems to get to 11 but if you just want to grind out like a billion games and hope for the best and u already got a solid team then its better to just use gems to keep refilling your battery and opening single win/double win booster boxes.

(i really wish events would go back to the gyrados style exclusive where the higher box u get the more of a chance u have to get the event exclusive, theres no reason not to keep opening at 1 box unless that system exists)

theres no indication of droprates for gym boosters so theres nothing to suggest that opening at 1 box is viable besides anecdotal evidence

There's no indication that an UC+ or R+ box has a higher droprate for EXs than C boxes other than anecdotal evidence.

So yes, Deoxys-A is the best check to Reuniclus just because it ties its purple and its large white section that will beat either Hyper Beam or Brain Link

moltres being the biggest offender as anyone who played the flying gym would know

typhlosion is base 1mp
he has an ability where very mon in the pc gives him +1mp

the gym buffs 1 and 2mp mons base mp by 1

so he would be base 2mp with an ability that gives him up to 2 more mp

they would specifically have to make an exception for him NOT to get to 4mp
