I'm trying to find a ROM I remember playing years ago. I don't think it was ever completed. It was posted here a long time ago, and I can't find anything about it in the archives.
Here's what I remember:
>The first encounter on Route 1 was always a shiny pidgey, before you had pokeballs
>The first gym was bug-type, and the leader used a Pineco with the attack Neurotoxin, which poisoned and confused the target
>It was pretty hard, since everyone was overlevelled
>The demo I played only had 2 gyms

Anyone know what I'm talking about?
