I don't get why everyone is using BW Ash's winning percent as some sort of proof that this is all wrong. It can easily be argued that his competition was also easier in BW, to match his level. Which is probably true. Not saying you need to take this seriously, but to use such a stupid reason as your basis for dismissing it is just, well, stupid.

The term "Jobber" comes from professional wrestling. It's based off of the euphemism "doing your job", which describes losing. Jobbers are wrestlers who are routinely booked to lose, meaning that it is their "job" to fail to make others look better.

Sinnoh had a fuckton of focus on actually training the Pokemon. The Sinnoh loses were either used to force Ash to come up with a new technique or to hammer in that his Pokemon hadn't mastered it yet.

Overall, yes. But particularily in Kalos he was a choker: won almost everything, except the most important one, losing at the end when it mattered the most. Like Messi with Argentina, or the Pats' 18-1.
