Poison used to be part of Grass along with Grass and Bug, until they changed Poison types to Psychic types

Because poison is represented by the color purple in the games, and a lot of poison-types happened to be purple so it fit them better than the green of the Grass type that was used for Poison-types up until Gen IV.
