>>32146415"Incineroar" is a God-awful name, though. They've been terrible with Fire starter names for a long time. "Infernape," "Emboar," "Delphox," "Incineroar." Their names aren't intelligent or well thought-out at all. Literally just "Ok these two relatively related words have one sound in common, we'll put them together."
They do it better with other mons, and are even sneaky with a lot of them. "Decidueye," for example, is not only "Deciduous" and "Eye," but also includes "Deadeye," a term for a sniper. "Chesnaught" is "chestnut" and "juggernaut," which while only two words, plays on the sounds of the words and comes across as different, even hiding some of the meaning.
Now, look. I HATE Incineroar. But even if you don't, you can't honestly tell me its name is good. It's literally something a 6-year-old would come up with. It's not a good name, objectively speaking on the metric of information and covertness, and don't pretend it is.
