Rock type take damage of electric attack.
There's so much ground/rock that I always assumed that rock type was also immune...
I played since gen1 and realised it in gen7.

I started playing Pokémon RPGs since 2008 and it took me two years to discover that Dark is immune to Psychic (2010), then six years later I found out that Rock resists Poison (2016).

I always thought Mental Herb was only used to cure infatuation; didn't realize it also removes the effects of Taunt, Encore, Torment, Disable, and Cursed Body.

Every Rock type in Gen 1 that wasn't Ground was either Water or Flying, and thus weak to Electric. Thing is, Aerodactyl is the only one of those you actually see in a trainer battle, and chances are people are using Water or Ice moves on it instead. I can see why during Gens 1 and 2 perhaps, but after that, it's on you.

It took me until gen 3 to realise. I caught an Aron thinking that it would let me defeat Wattson easily (like how Diglett/Dugtrio let you easily beat Surge in RBY). But the fact that it isn't ground combined with its piss-poor Special Defense meant that I got BTFO.

Ghost are IMMUNE to fighting and normal, and this is a logic consequence.
Second:
Ghost RESISTS bug, meaning that a bug can tecnically HIT a ghost but not in an effective manner.

I'm talking from a gameplay perspective. They probably have it resist Bug because Bug is supposed to be a "weak" type, but drew the line there so Ghost isn't completely unbalanced.

There's great amount of bugs in OU compared to other types. Sure many of them are UBs or megas but that's more than what other types like rock or normal can say. Bug may be a bad offensive type but at least many bug types have great stats

Psychic has Megagross, Lele, Megazam, Hoopa U, Jirachi, and Latios.
Bug has Pheromosa, Buzzwole, Volcarona, Scolipede, Mega scizor, Mega Pinsir, and Megabee.
There are more bugs in OU than psychic types.

One small caveat to that though is that allied dark mons are not immune to your own Prankster. It's beneficial in some ways, but it won't let you get a little cheesy with Perish Song, unfortunately.
