And while you are partly correct in what you say, I'm still inclined to say that the Original Dragon should not show Kyurem's features (other than the yellow spike thing) as to not invalidate its symbolism. In fact, I believe the Original Dragon should not look like ANY of its three parts, as Kyurem is the void, and the void ceases to exist once filled out, and Reshiram/Zekrom, as you said yourself, are only mere "parts" of that the Original Dragon lost when it split.
Actually, just take a look at Kyurem's design. Is there any of that that actually looks like it's supposed to be a living, breathing, fully-functional being? No, there is not. Even Kyurem's wings, when thawed, are nothing but plugs it uses to re-fuse with Reshiram/Zekrom as seen in BW2. Of course, with the power of creative freedom, you can make anything look alive and well, but as I've said before, simply using Kyurem's design as a base for the Original Dragon's would invalidate its entire concept. Though, of course, certain elements should carry over from all three of them. Such as Kyurem's yellow spile and grey colour scheme.
