There is at least some semblance of fun and productive discussion in even some of the most awful generals.
These recurring general threads about a single Pokemon/Evolution line though? They're even worse. Sure it's all good if it's fresh off a new game and you're all talking about ways to use your bro. But when these threads are forced to drag on and on every week by cancerous faggots who can't let go, you end up having threads like this with absolutely fuckall. It's just people posting repetitive fanart that could easily be searched, all while generating no discussion of value whatsoever.
