None of the starters save for Greninja, Charizard, and Serperior are OU staples.
most form some niche that CAN be used in OU but aren't that great:
Blaziken-Blaze: Gonna be reused for popularity and then probably brought down to UU/RU. The speed is a huge hinderance on it.
Primerina: Decent tank in OU but should not be your biggest and "best"
Empoleon: Decent tank in OU, also stealth rock setter.
Venusaur: Still pretty efficient in OU, has a little competition but very much a good pokemon for the area
Decidueye: Not very OU viable, if you're seriously that crazy then it's a support, I've seen it work once or twice in tandem with a weather team or two. Not an offensive Pokemon. If you tell me offense I will laugh and call you a sub-1300 shitter. It's much better in UU.
Sceptile: Glass cannon, still works but very much reliant on being your mega slot.
Blastoise: Only seen it work on rain teams, still kinda shit in OU
Swampert: Good on Rain teams for OU, but very "dependent" like Sceptile. Good luck.
Infernape: Poor mans "good" blaziken. With Talonflame gone it's doable.
Feraligatr: Okay bruiser, not the greatest thing in the world to rely on but thanks to (finally) getting its hidden ability last gen its workable onto some teams.
Everyone else I didn't mention I've never seen been used in higher tiers of OU atm. Thinking of quitting OU though, this shits getting boring.
